Blitz Bike: Loose handlebarsUpdated 10 months ago
Here's a short 90s video (click here) on how to get the handlebars as tight as possible, to avoid them loosening in the future.
Alternatively, here's how to fix it (written instructions):
Ensure that you have the following tools available: loctite (small orange or blue bottle that came with your Blitz Bike and a 15/16" box end wrench (or an adjustable wrench)
Remove the bolt that joins the handlebar and the side strut
Loosen the handlebar and then unthread it to remove it from the frame
Apply a generous amount of loctite to the threads
Rethread the handlebar onto the frame until hand-tight
Using a 15/16" box end wrench (or adjustable wrench), tighten the nut between the handlebar and the bike's frame
Replace the bolt that joins the handlebar and side strut
